Powers Three Swallow (Export Version). Image courtesy Irish Distillers/Pernod Ricard USA.The export version of Powers Three Swallow is slightly different than the domestic version sold in Ireland, where it is bottled at 40% ABV for tax reasons. The export version is 43.2% ABV, and it makes a slight difference. The nose has soft spices and notes of cooked banana, honey, straw, dried fruits, and dried flowers. The taste is still smooth and creamy with baking spices that build up slowly to a nice crescendo and touches of banana bread, walnuts, honey, and dried flowers. The long finish has lingering spices, honey, and a touch of dried flowers. Very nice! (November, 2018)
