Coppersea Bonticou Crag Bottled in Bond Rye
Country: USA
Region: New York
Type: Rye Whiskey
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 50%
Score: 92 Points
This bottled in bond Rye whiskey from New York’s Coppersea Distilling is made with New York-grown grain, making it eligible for Empire Rye designation as well. The nose is aromatic and warm with good rye spices of clove, ginger, and a hint of dill along with vanilla, honey, and a touch of charred oak. The taste is spicy and well-balanced with clove, black pepper, ginger, honey, charred oak, and a slight hint of lemony tartness. The finish is long with a nice spiciness that lingers gently and that same touch of lemony tartness. Very nice! (July, 2018)
