Ardbeg Grooves

Country: Scotland

Region: Islay

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 46%

Score: 93 Points

Ardbeg Grooves Limited Edition. Image courtesy Ardbeg. This is the “public” version of Ardbeg’s 2018 limited edition release, and differs only from the Ardbeg Committee version released earlier in 2018 in that it’s bottled at 46% ABV compared to 51.6% for the Committee version. The nose has a subtle peatiness along with a touch of heather and black tea with honey and lemon – much like the Committee version. However, the taste is thick, well-balanced, and complex with a delayed peatiness and touches of honey, brown sugar, and good spices. The finish is long and peaty with gentle touches of heather and honey. (June, 2018)
