Single Oak Bourbon: Buffalo Trace’s Single Oak Project Realized

It took 26 years to create Buffalo Trace’s latest Experimental Collection release, starting with the selection of 96 trees in 1999 to create 192 unique barrels of Bourbon for the Single Oak Project. Between 2011 and 2015, those 8-year-old whiskies were released to the public, with consumers invited to rate each whiskey. The highest-rated barrel became the basis for the new Single Oak Bourbon, and we’ll get more from Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley on this week’s WhiskyCast In-Depth.
