This Irish single malt is matured in Oloroso Sherry casks, and the nose has notes of dried fruits, candied orange slices, hints of hazelnuts, plums, dates, and a nice maltiness. The taste has good spices along with classic sherry notes of raisins, toffee, a touch of hazelnuts, orange peel, and a soft oakiness. The finish is long, rich, and well-balanced with lingering spices and hints of orange peel and oak. Very nice. (February, 2018)
