This whisky has improved since the last time I tasted it several years ago, when I scored it a 79. Now, the nose has good spices with pepper, clove, and nutmeg, along with honey, maple, and a hint of brown sugar that add balance. The taste is spicy and rich with good cinnamon and clove notes and touches of honey, maple, and vanilla underneath. The finish is long, spicy, and smooth. (December, 2013)
