Producing WhiskyCast has given me the opportunity to taste some really amazing whiskies, and I’m pleased to share my tasting notes with you here. You can search my entire database of tasting notes from this page, and I hope you’ll find it useful.
This Islay single malt spent 12 years in a refill bourbon cask, and the nose is classic Islay with notes of tar, creosote, dried leaves, and a slight nuttiness. The taste is thick, oily, and peppery with cinnamon notes and an understated peat that develops slowly. The finish is soft and smoky.
