Wemyss Peat Chimney 8

Country: Scotland

Region:

Type: Blended Malt

Bottler: Wemyss Malts

ABV: 40%

Score: 87 Points

The nose has a subtle smokiness with burnt leaves, a touch of brine, and a hint of lemon peel that comes out after a few minutes. The taste has touches of creosote and tar with a smooth peatiness that doesn’t overwhelm a slight lemony tartness underneath. The finish is moderately smoky, long, and slow to fade.
