Tullibardine "The Murray" Marsala Cask Finish. Image courtesy Tullibardine. This Marsala cask-finished whisky from Tullibardine’s Marquess Collection was distilled in 2006 and first matured in ex-Bourbon barrels before spending its final year in the Sicilian wine casks. The nose has notes of red grapes, roast beef au jus, cooked fruits, and black tea with honey. The taste has a good balance of spices and fruits with touches of clove, allspice, a hint of cinnamon, cooked fruits, and a slight beefiness. The finish is long with lingering spices and cooked fruits. (February, 2019)
