Tomatin 1999 KWM Single Cask
Country: Scotland
Region: Highlands
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 52%
Score: 90 Points
This 18-year-old Tomatin bottling for Calgary’s Kensington Wine Market started out in an ex-Bourbon barrel, then was finished for five years in a Pedro Ximenez Sherry cask. The nose has notes of ripe tree fruits, ginger root, a hint of Christmas cake, plums, raisins, and honey. The taste is spicy and mouth-tingling with dried fruits, apricot, coconut, vanilla, honey, and a hint of licorice. The finish is long with nicely lingering spices. (March, 2018)
