Tobermory Port Pipe

Country: Scotland

Region: Highlands

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 57.8%

Score: 92 Points

Tobermory Port Pipe. Image courtesy Distell. This 14-year-old single malt is officially a distillery-exclusive bottling, but can be found occasionally on the open market. It was finished for five years in port pipes and bottled at cask strength. The nose has notes of warm berry cobbler, orange pekoe tea, a hint of toffee, and red grapes. The taste is thick and mouth-coating with toffee, orange marmalade, vanilla, cocoa beans, and dried fruits. The finish is long, smooth, and gentle with muted spices, lingering fruits, and a hint of oak. Nice! (January, 2018)
