The Whisky Exchange 2018 “A Fine Christmas Malt”
Country: Scotland
Region: Speyside
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Speciality Drinks/The Whisky Exchange
ABV: 58.7%
Score: 94 Points
This 17-year-old single malt comes from an undisclosed Speyside distillery and was matured in Oloroso Sherry butts. The nose has notes of chocolate covered cherries, raisins, berry cobbler, orange peel, toffee, and a hint of port wine. The taste is luscious and well-rounded with Christmas cake, baking spices, a nice nuttiness, and touches of dates, baking chocolate, and raisins. The finish has lingering spices with a touch of pine needles, chocolate covered cherries, and raisins. Excellent! (November, 2018)
