The Whisky Exchange 2020 “A Fine Christmas Malt”
Country: Scotland
Region:
Type: Blended Malt
Bottler: The Whisky Exchange/Speciality Drinks Ltd.
ABV: 44.5%
Score: 93 Points
The 2020 edition of “A Fine Christmas Malt” is a 19-year-old blended malt with an emphasis on sherry casks in its maturation. The nose is complex and well-balanced with touches of raisins, orange peel, soft spices, dried fruits, and a hint of cocoa powder. The taste is spicy and fruity with dates, figs, and raisins balanced by clove and cinnamon with touches of brown sugar and dark chocolate that come out as the spices start to fade. The long finish has gently fading spices along with dates, raisins, and hints of apple cobbler and cocoa powder. Excellent! (November, 2020)
