The Spice King 12
Country: Scotland
Region:
Type: Blended Malt
Bottler: Wemyss Malts
ABV: 40%
Score: 88 Points
As might be expected from the name, the nose has soft spices, especially nutmeg, allspice, and ginger, along with hints of honey and almonds. The taste starts off smooth at first, with good cinnamon and cilantro notes that build up quickly but don’t overpower honey and soft hints of orange peel underneath. The finish lingers well with allspice and hints of black tea with honey. (January, 2013)
