The Singleton of Dufftown 17 2020 Special Release
Country: Scotland
Region: Speyside
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 55.1%
Score: 94 Points
This single malt is part of Diageo’s 2020 Special Releases collection, and was matured in refill American Oak hogshead casks. The nose has a sweet and floral character with dried flowers, honeycomb, tree fruits, and a hint of toasted coconut. The taste has a nice balance of soft spices, dried flowers, and a hint of grilled pineapple along with a touch of tropical fruits that provides a good complexity. Water rounds out the fruitiness and spices while improving the complexity. The finish is long and subtly spicy with touches of honeycomb, dried flowers, and citrus tartness. Excellent! (October, 2020)
