This blended Japanese whisky has a great balance with notes of espresso beans, cocoa, a hint of nutmeg, oak, fudge, and raisins on the nose. The taste is spicy with nice complexity and a good balance of ginger, nutmeg, fudge, cocoa, caramel candy, and touches of raisins and plums in the background. The finish lingers nicely with fading spice and fruit notes, good balance, and a hint of oak. (October, 2015)
