The Macallan Classic Cut 2017 Edition
Country: Scotland
Region: Speyside
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 58.4%
Score: 90 Points
This annual release is as close as fans of The Macallan Cask Strength will get to that long-gone favorite. It’s matured in ex-Oloroso Sherry casks, and the nose is aromatic with a good balance of Christmas cake, toffee, honey, and a hint of candied orange slices. The taste has intense spices complemented by consistent notes of Christmas cake, toffee, and candied orange slices, while the finish is long with a good balance of fruits and muted spices.
