This cask-strength English single malt comes from former red wine, Pedro Ximenez Sherry, and Bourbon casks. The nose has notes of dried fruits, sawdust, gentle spices, vanilla, and caramel candy. The taste has plenty of Christmas cake fruitiness along with baking spices, stewed prunes, and a hint of caramel. The finish is slightly astringent with dark fruits and lingering spices.
