The Glenrothes 2001
Country: Scotland
Region: Speyside
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 43%
Score: 90 Points
The first Glenrothes vintage from the 21st Century has a very smooth nose full of oak, vanilla, allspice, black cherries, and a hint of dark chocolate. The taste has mild ginger and allspice, along with a note of chocolate-covered cherries, and touches of vanilla and honey. The finish is very smooth with lingering soft spices. (June, 2013)
