The Glenrothes 18. Image courtesy The Glenrothes/Edrington.During 2018, The Glenrothes replaced its existing range of mostly vintage-dated single malts with the new Soleo Collection of whiskies featuring age statements. The Glenrothes 18 is matured exclusively in ex-Sherry casks, and the nose is subtle with notes of vanilla, toffee, orange peel, dried flowers, and hints of tree fruits. The taste has a good balance of spices and tree fruits, along with dried flowers, orange marmalade and a hint of honey. The finish is long and fades gently away with subtle spices and dried fruits. Excellent! (November, 2018)
