The Glenallachie 25
Country: Scotland
Region: Speyside
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 48%
Score: 95 Points
The nose on this vintage Speyside single malt is nice and sweet with toffee, butterscotch, caramel candies, muted spices, and a soft oakiness. The taste is syrupy-thick with a nice touch of peach nectar at first, followed by a burst of baking spices while butterscotch and caramel notes add balance and complexity in the background. The finish is smooth and gentle with a good balance of fruity sweetness and lingering spices. Excellent! (January, 2019)
