This is the first new addition to The Balvenie’s Cask Finishes range since the Caribbean Cask was introduced in 2013, and is also the first Balvenie expression finished in French Oak casks. The nose has a hint of grapefruit, along with dried flowers, honey, vanilla, and a nice maltiness. The taste is mouth-coating and sticky-sweet with tree fruits, grapefruit, vanilla, honey, and barley sugar. The finish is long and fruity with hints of dried flowers and grapefruit. Excellent!
