That Boutique-y Whisky Company Nc’Nean Batch #1
Country: Scotland
Region: Highlands
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: That Boutique-y Whisky Company/Atom Brands
ABV: 60.2%
Score: 89 Points
One of the first independent bottlings from the fledgling Nc’Nean Distillery in Scotland, and bottled at cask-strength. The nose is malty with notes of linseed oil, lemon zest, and hints of honey and vanilla. The taste is syrupy-thick with good spicy touches of white pepper and allspice balanced by linseed oil, honey, and butterscotch. The finish is long and spicy with a fiery touch of white pepper and hints of lemon zest and linseed oil. Can’t wait to see what Nc’Nean’s single malt tastes like with a few more years in the cask.
