One of the first bottlings in this Maverick Drinks range to carry an age statement, this 25-year-old Macallan is a whopper of a whisky!

The nose has notes of freshly-baked berry cobbler, fig cookies, raisins, and touches of ginger, vanilla, and orange peel in the classic Macallan house style. The taste is dry, astringent, and mouth-puckering at first, then turns spicy and warming with white pepper and clove notes balanced by honey, molasses, fresh blackberries and blueberries, and a touch of marmalade. The finish is dry and subtly fruity with orange peel, berries, marmalade, and lingering spices. Outstanding! (April, 2016)
