Teeling Whiskey 24 Year Old Single Malt
Country: Ireland
Region:
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Teeling Whiskey Company
ABV: 46%
Score: 94 Points
This whiskey was named the “World’s Best Single Malt” in Whisky Magazine’s 2019 World Whisky Awards, and spent 21 years in ex-Bourbon barrels before transferred to Sauternes wine casks for a final three years of maturation. The nose is fruity and aromatic with notes of green grapes, fresh berries, subtle touches of figs and dates in the background, and a hint of dried flowers. The taste is thick and nectar-like with citrusy tartness and touches of white pepper, dried flowers, honey, and vanilla. The finish is long, tart, and well-balanced with a nice fruitiness. Excellent!
