Teeling Brabazon Bottling Series 1. Image courtesy Teeling Whiskey Company. This whiskey gets its name from the Brabazon family, which once owned much of the Liberties area of Dublin where the Teeling Whiskey Company is based today, and was blended from ex-Sherry casks filled between 2001 and 2008 at Cooley Distillery. The nose is creamy and smooth with notes of dried apricots, peaches, muted spices, and a hint of orange peel. The taste is smooth with a touch of orange sherbet at first, followed by spices that build up with traditional pot still notes of clove, allspice, ginger, and nutmeg with a good balance. The finish is dry and subtle with a touch of roasted almonds. (October, 2017)
