Teeling 34 Vintage Reserve Single Malt
Country: Ireland
Region:
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Teeling Whiskey Company
ABV: 40.9%
Score: 94 Points
This Irish single malt comes from ex-Bourbon barrels filled in 1983 at an undisclosed distillery, and the nose has notes of butterscotch, vanilla, caramel, dried flowers, and a hint of lemon zest. The taste starts off creamy at first, then turns spicy with notes of clove, cinnamon, ginger, a touch of vanilla, licorice, and a hint of caramel in the background. The finish has lingering spices with a subtle fruity touch of green apples and a hint of backyard herbs. Excellent! (February, 2018)
