This is a rarity…a bottled-in-bond single pot still whisky matured for four years. The nose on this single barrel release has notes of toasted oak, honey, subtle spices, and hints of butterscotch and peaches. The taste is thick and spicy with clove, cinnamon, and black pepper complemented by touches of lemon zest, linseed oil, honey, and toasted oak in the background along with hints of apples and peaches. The finish is long and spicy with an underlying fruity sweetness. Very nice! (July, 2022)
