Suntory Toki. Image courtesy Beam Suntory. This Japanese blend uses a higher percentage of grain whisky from Suntory’s Chita distillery, and the result is a whisky with a well-balanced and fruity nose with notes of mango, papaya, pineapple, and coconut balanced by ginger and lemon zest. The taste is surprisingly spicy with clove, black pepper, and ginger notes with mango, papaya, and coconut notes adding balance and a hint of pineapple that comes out as the spices start to fade leading into a tart and juicy finish.
