Stranahan’s Sherry Cask
Country: USA
Region: Colorado
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 47%
Score: 92 Points
This Colorado single malt is a four-year-old whiskey finished in ex-Oloroso Sherry casks. The nose has notes of black cherries, raisins, almond oil, molasses, and a hint of straw. The taste is full of honey, black cherries, blackberry preserves, and touches of fins, clove, almonds, and white pepper. The finish is long and smooth with vanilla, caramel, honey, and lingering spices. Very nice. (December, 2017)
