Rum cask finishes work really well for some single malt whiskies, and this is a nice example of that pairing. The nose has notes of grilled pineapple, brown sugar, a hint of orange peel, honey, vanilla, and toasted oak. The taste is tart, sweet, and fruity with a bite of white pepper spiciness complemented by grilled pineapple, honey, and brown sugar. The finish is long and fruity with lingering spices. Very nice!
