Denmark’s Stauning Distillery created this unique 3-year-old Rye whiskey by finishing it in Mezcal casks, and the nose has a nice touch of agave balanced by subtle spices, toasted oak, and vanilla. The taste starts off creamy and smooth, followed by a burst of baking spices, hints of lime, lemon, and agave, and a touch of dried tree fruits. The finish is long with subtle spices and a slight tartness. (February, 2020)
