Springbank 1996

Country: Scotland

Region: Campbeltown

Type: Single Malt

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 56.4%

Score: 92 Points

This single cask bottling for Calgary’s Kensington Wine Market came from a Manzanilla sherry cask aged for 17 years. It’s found only in Calgary, and has a strong, intense nose with notes of maple syrup, figs, and oak, with a slight hint of lemon. The taste is equally intense and spicy, with almond notes and black pepper that fade to a sweet finish that lingers with an aroma that curls up the back of the throat.
