Sons of Vancouver took home the 2023 Canadian whisky of the Year award in the Canadian whisky Awards for this whiskey, which has 10% rye in the mashbill along with malted barley. The nose has touches of caramel, anise, warm honey with black tea, vanilla beans, and baking chocolate. The taste has notes of dried fruits, lilacs, banana, and a nice pepperiness with honey and vanilla in the background. The finish is long with subtle spices. Excellent!
