Ian Macleod’s Smokehead whiskies come from Islay, and this one packs a punch at 58% ABV. The nose has touches of smoked salmon, brine, seaweed, and a gentle smokiness with a hint of honey. The taste is smoky and complex with black pepper, sea salt, smoked salmon, seaweed, and a hint of honey. The finish is long, smoky, and mouth-filling with lingering pepperiness and smoke.
