This is the debut bottling for Brown-Forman’s Slane Irish Whiskey, and comes from whiskey sourced from an undisclosed Irish distillery. It’s matured and finished in a combination of virgin oak, ex-Bourbon and Tennessee whiskey casks, and ex-Oloroso Sherry casks.

The nose is fruity and floral with notes of straw, ginger root, dried flowers, honey, vanilla, and a slight herbal touch. The taste is well-balanced between fruity and spicy notes, with green apples, candied pear slices, allspice, ginger root, orange peel, and honey meshing well together. The finish is medium-length with lingering fruits and a touch of honey. (June, 2017)
