Single Cask Nation Glenrothes 8
Country: Scotland
Region: Speyside
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Single Cask Nation/Jewish Whisky Company
ABV: 56.3%
Score: 92 Points
This single cask bottling was filled into a refill ex-Sherry hogshead in October of 2008 and bottled in September of 2016, with just 318 bottles available. The nose has notes of honey, figs, toffee, raisins, muted spices, and a hint of fig cookies. The taste is thick and rich with a slightly dry mouthfeel, and starts off off fruity at first followed by spicy notes of clove and black peppercorns. Figs, orange peel, and toffee notes come back out as the spices fade slowly to a long, consistent finish. (May, 2017)
