This year’s edition is the last of its kind…a batch that has been used for the last several editions of the Sazerac Rye 18, with very subtle changes over time. The nose has notes of clove, allspice, soft oak, honey, vanilla, and a hint of butterscotch candies. The taste is spicy with cinnamon, clove, ginger, allspice, molasses, and caramel notes. The finish is long and smooth with lingering clove, allspice, and molasses notes. (December, 2015)
