This expression takes the standard Sagamore Spirit Rye and fills it into brand-new casks for an extra boost of maturation, and the nose has notes of baking spices, honey, caramel, molasses, and leather. The taste is spicy with clove, black pepper, and chili powder notes that fade to reveal honey, caramel, brown sugar, and hints of tree fruits. The finish is mouth-watering with hints of spices, tree fruits, honey, and caramel. (July, 2019)
