Rogue Spirits Oregon Single Malt. Photo ©2018, Mark Gillespie/CaskStrength Media. This is the oldest whisky yet from Oregon’s Rogue Spirits, a five-year-old single malt matured on the shores of Yaquina Bay. The nose is malty with notes of honey, vanilla, a nice oakiness, caramel, and a hint of cocoa beans. The taste starts off with sweet touches of honey and brown sugar, followed by a spicy kick of allspice, cinnamon, and ginger notes that fades to a medium-length finish with lingering hints of allspice and honey.
