Cinnamon dominates the nose, with undertones of old leather and oak. Unlike many older whiskies, the oak is well-behaved on the tongue…which has highlights of cinnamon, dark chocolate, black pepper, and dried fruits. The finish literally lasts for minutes on the back of the throat…I’ve used the word “lingering” to describe finishes, but this one is a house guest of a finish.
