This is the third installment in Redbreast’s Iberian Series of Irish whiskies, and was matured in a combination of Oloroso, Bourbon, and Tawny Port casks, with a final finish in Tawny Port hogsheads from Portugal. The nose has hints of hazelnut, cherries, orange peel, honey, and subtle spices. The taste is thick and oily with pot still spices, cherries, orange peel, and hazelnut. The finish is long with lingering spices and dried fruits. (September, 2023)
