Redbreast 1999 All Sherry Single Cask
Country: Ireland
Region:
Type: Single Pot Still
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 59.3%
Score: 93 Points
This is the first single cask Redbreast bottling, and was bottled exclusively for The Whisky Exchange after 16 years at cask strength.
The nose is rich and woody with muted spices, coffee beans, dried apple and banana chips, raisins, and hints of licorice and vanilla. The taste is thick, mouth-puckering, and dry, but with a good balance of clove spiciness, dried fruits, a hint of plums, vanilla, and oak. The finish is lingering, dry, and woody with subtle touches of dried fruits. Excellent! (March, 2016)
