Powers John’s Lane

Country: Ireland

Region:

Type: Irish

Bottler: Distiller

ABV: 46%

Score: 93 Points

This Irish single pot still whiskey closely replicates the whiskies from the old Powers distillery on John’s Lane in Dublin, which closed in 1976. The nose is earthy with notes of old wood, dust, and vintage leather book bindings. The taste is peppery balanced with notes of vanilla, caramel, dark chocolate, and a hint of honey. The finish lingers nicely with a good balance of spiciness and honey notes. Outstanding!
