The nose is smoky with sweet notes of barbecue sauce and molasses, Manuka honey, and a nice maltiness. The taste has a thick, syrupy mouthfeel with a good balance of spice, smoke, and sweetness as clove and cinnamon notes work well with the peat smoke, molasses, and Manuka honey notes in the background. The finish is long and slightly dry with a touch of clove and a gentle smokiness. (February, 2017)
