Producing WhiskyCast has given me the opportunity to taste some really amazing whiskies, and I’m pleased to share my tasting notes with you here. You can search my entire database of tasting notes from this page, and I hope you’ll find it useful.
The 16th release of Parker’s Heritage Collection is a double-barreled Bourbon with a complex pedigree. 67% of the blend is 13-year-old Bourbon filled into new charred oak barrels for four weeks, then blended with 33% 15-year-old Bourbon. The nose is oaky with touches of caramel and butterscotch candies, a hint of cocoa, and wood spices. The taste starts off with butterscotch and caramel, followed by black pepper, cinnamon, dried apple chips, and a touch of oak tannins. The finish is long and aromatic with touches of dark chocolate, clove, ginger root, white pepper, and a hint of oak. Excellent! (December, 2022)
