Old Pulteney 1983 Vintage
Country: Scotland
Region: Highlands
Type: Single Malt
Bottler: Distiller
ABV: 46%
Score: 90 Points
This single malt was matured in a combination of American Oak and Spanish Oak casks, and the nose has notes of toffee and Christmas cake, muted spices, Manuka honey, and a touch of oak. The taste is fruity and dry at first, with spices slowly building up to a nice balance. Peaches, apples, and orange peel balance hints of clove and allspice well, leading to a dry finish that lingers nicely with subtle spices and tree fruits. (September, 2017)
