Old Malt Cask Blair Athol 24 Years Old. Image courtesy Hunter Laing & Co. This single malt from Hunter Laing & Co. was distilled in 1995 and matured in an ex-Sherry butt. The nose has notes of Christmas cake, toffee, dates, figs, and honey. The taste has those same touches of figs, dates, and toffee, along with dried fruits, hints of spice, and oak tannins. The finish is long and luscious. Excellent! (March, 2020)
