Old Forester 150th Anniversary Small Batch #3. Image courtesy Old Forester/Brown-Forman. One of three unique batches created to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Old Forester, representing the three distilleries that George Garvin Brown sourced his whiskies from in 1870 to blend into Old Forester. The nose has notes of candied orange slices, brown sugar, an herbal touch of dill and rosemary, honey, and a touch of cherries that comes on slowly. The taste is dry and astringent with a good pepperiness balanced by a touch of honeydew melon, spearmint, and honey. The finish is long and dry with subtle hints of spice and citrus. (September, 2020)
