Old Forester 150th Anniversary Batch #1. Image courtesy Old Forester/Brown-Forman. One of the three small batch releases celebrating the 150th anniversary of Old Forester in 2020, this Bourbon has a nose that’s aromatic and oaky with dried fruits, honey, and a hint of cherry pipe tobacco. The taste is thick, peppery, and intense with black pepper and a hint of cinnamon that fade slowly to reveal hints of apples, pears, oak tannins, and a touch of honey in the background. The finish is dry and astringent with lingering spices and a hint of oak. (September, 2020)
